No cash changing hands. I think Morel and Mead are DFA candidates any day now. This is Simpson and 3 buy low candidates with high ceilings, which is exactly what a bad team like the Rockies should do with a speed and defense first 27 year old CF. Trade Doyle before the career downturn. The Rays are desperate. They are a good team with bad players bringing them down, and they should fix holes before their season is lost. Doyle is the best defensive CF in the game, and if he is a league average bat, he's deserving of downballot MVP votes. The Rays need to make a change ASAP, because we're 2 weeks away from selling. I love Simpson, and I hate parting with him, but I'd give him up for Doyle.

Agreed on Mead and Morel. Disagree on the Rays’ need for Doyle.
Gotta get a RH bat in the lineup that isn't a complete abortion in the field. Doyle is the best I see that could be had in April. This team is 5 games back, and that's with a very healthy pitching staff and lineup. It's time to panic. 70% of our remaining games are on the road, we have no pitchers on the 60 day IL, and Yandy and BLowe haven't started limping yet. April showers might bring spring flowers, but for the Rays, April showers are wiping away their whole season. We can't get shut out every time a we face a lefty.
Deluca returns in a couple weeks. Mangum is a righty SH. Simpson is a righty. Cabby is a righty. I think the outfield is fine once we get rid of Morel.
I agree on Mead but not Morel cause he's a front office darling like Walls is so no matter how bad he plays he's here to stay awhile sadly, didn't they just sign Doyle to an extention a few months ago? I'd take him but honestly I don't see them jumping on that package, Simpson and Santana couldn't hit one out even there, plus the position Colorado is deepest at is OF, they have a ton of prospects there and that's not counting guys like Beck who's at AAA, what they could really use is a Taylor or Isaac type and of course a ton of pitching, TB has a guy like Boyle who's been hitless in 2 starts stuck at AAA, I wouldn't mind using a Baz, Pepoit, or Bradley to get back some hitters from them, even a Jayden Hill looks like a perfect Rays target with his stuff and size that they are wasting in the bullpen, they match up really well but you know TB doesn't do the obvious trades they have to complicate everything.
