1The logic: This is a high-risk, (potentially) high-reward deal for both sides. Angels get a speedy lefty hitting outfielder with a track record of decent MLB success (.710 career OPS) who had an awful start to 2025. Their outfield is currently comprised of all RH hitters, so he would be a good platoon fit with at least 3 years of team control remaining. DBacks get a former top 10 pick who has dealt with a major shoulder injury but has upside in the bullpen. With all of their recent pitching injuries and a weak-ish farm system, they need to take risks like this to avoid overpaying for established arms.
