1Cruz is now on pace for a 3.15 fWAR and 1.89 bWAR season, while hitting 102 wRC+. He is arb eligible next season. Not sure what he can expect in arbitration with a low 100 wRC+ bat, but back to back 3 fWAR seasons is good. BTV seems to think he's going to make an average of $17MM per season over the next 3 years, which I find totally unbelievable, but if correct it means there is no way the Rays have any interest in this guy. Sorry Shaq, but even the new owners can't get behind paying this much salary and trade cost for a bad bat, ok-ish CF.
