Rays pick up a ton of far off talent with high ceilings, none of whom are within 2 years of a 40 man roster spot. Michael Conforto's Major League career is over. Josh Lowe become's the Dodger's new left fielder. If they want Edman there, there's plenty of PA available with Teoscar shitting the bed all year. The Dodgers have a very weak bullpen. They get their closer, their setup, and a multi role outfielder. Whatever holes they had heading into the postseason are filled with this trade, and with a $500M roster, pre-arb years 3-5 years away shouldn't be a concern.

I’d probably do this deal if I ran the Rays, and I’m still a believer in J.Lowe. Can’t see the Dodgers agreeing to it though.
