Is this the Forst is Stupid Tax? (A's fans believe this is a real thing.) Everyone else is able to flip vets on at least a 1-for-1 return but Forst can't/won't do the same?

Not sure what that is. Looks to be more than fair going by the numbers. Both A's are 1 year rentals as well.
Kelly has 5 more years of control.
When i googled it, it said a 1 year deal. He is up for Pre-Arb and then Arb. So its only 2 more years technically right? https://www.spotrac.com/mlb/player/_/id/24670/michael-kelly The trade is still fair though. Graves is a top 20 prospect too.
It's 3 years of arbitration for everyone. He'll be pre-Arb in '26. He might be Super-2 eligible in '27, it'll depend on the cut-off I think. My point about the Forst Idiot Tax was that every other team was able to trade their vets on a 1-to-1 ratio at minimum but Forst, being so bad at his job, couldn't manage the same. Anyways... I'd be fine with Graves for Andujar. Based on the hot market, I'd want a +1 for Kelly.
