Down vote for the A's. Stephenson could serve as a stop-gap backstop but then he's a FA and the A's would have a blackhole of fail behind the plate. Adding Langeliers to the trade mix is a bridge too far.

Here's the package Burns+Stewart could get in return: Kurtz+Jacob Lopez+Colby Thomas and his Magnificent Locs. That's 83.2 BTV to the Reds and 81.60 going to the A's.

As much as I love this trade and even Kurtz for Burns straight up I very much doubt A's trade someone who is likely to become an all star, is young and cost controlled for a long time.
