4ππΌββοΈ At least this trade addresses a Red Sox need. π And 3 of 4 can help the Dodgers in β26. π€
OK, now I understand why you didn't like the other trade from the Sox perspective. Granted, I'm looking out for the Dodgers and you're a Sox fan, but I wouldn't make this trade. Why would we trade our ace starter and WS hero for two pitchers we don't need (we have plenty of young pitchers who could be just as good (Stone, Wrobleski, Ryan) as the ones you want to send us. Arias hasn't proven anything yet and probably won't be ready for another 2 or 3 years while we have three young shortstops of our own who could be ready at that point. Campbell will probably be excellent but hasn't proven himself at the major league level and his AAA stats for 2025 actually dipped some from 2024. We could use Duran, Rafaela or Abreu but we aren't sending you Yamamoto.
Max Muncy is whoβd Iβd really like to acquire.
I'm a big Muncy fan. He's taken less money for the last two years just to play for the Dodgers. He'd be a great addition to the Sox infield. He can play 1B, 2B or 3B. What a beautiful lefty swing. Watching him hit homers is a thing of beauty.
