17Bregman signs elsewhere, Casas needs more time healing, trade Duran + in this proposal and the Red Sox in ‘26 are; C Carlos Narvaez 1B Romy Gonzalez 2B David Hamilton 3B Marcelo Mayer SS Trevor Story LF Roman Anthony CF Ceddanne Rafaela RF Wilyer Abreu DH Masataka Yoshida Bench C Connor Wong IF Nick Sogard IF Tristan Gray OF Nate Eaton SP Garrett Crochet SP Hunter Greene SP Brayan Bello SP Patrick Sandoval SP Kutter Crawford Bullpen LH Aroldis Chapman RH Garrett Whitlock RH Justin Slaten LH Payton Tolle LH Kyle Harrison RH Greg Weissert RH Jordan Hicks RH Cooper Criswell……. YIKES 🤦🏻♀️ 👎, trading Duran (or any Outfielder) for pitching is a VERY BAD IDEA. Trading an Outfielder for pitching would be devastating to the line up. Campbell & Garcia are 40 man roster depth, they both need more seasoning in AAA.
With all do respect to Ms. Dajuba and her lengthy response to your post the chance to pair a SP like Greene next to Crochet should counter any depth fears the Red Sox may have. I disagree with M.D. that it would be devastating to the Sox lineup. Sox have the money to go out and buy another hitter if they really feel the need but far as I know there are no pitchers on the FA market close to Greene. So IMHO I approve this trade as my job as GM for both the Sox and the Reds. :-)
💁🏼♀️ Ownership from either club would fire you before you could get the trade done. 🤦🏻♀️
I half agree. The Reds might hate this trade, but the Red Sox should 100% LOVE this trade. They've explicity on record said they need top end starting pitching and that they have plenty of #4 types. There is also been a ton of smoke around them trading one of their outfielders (whether we agree with that or not) so I don't see how Breslow would take any heat for this trade. I merely suggest this trade on the rumors that Greene is on the trading block with full recognition that for every guy who gets traded in the offseason 10 guys are rumored to be traded.
Early put up 1.1 fWAR in just 14 innings last year. He might replace Greene in Cincinnati faster than you think.
Please stop. The goal is to acquire a SP2 and acquire a middle of the order bat. Please put the bias for Duran aside. It's not productive.
Thanks for your kind response and opinion Ms. Dajuba.
It’s exhausting debating with Robbie’s mindset of a 13yr girl……..🤦🏻♀️, ignore, ignore, ignore is the only solution.
You do know it is possible to disagree with someone without calling them names. Something tells me you have been on this website way to long.

The trade is a great one, but your idea of trading outfield talent for pitching being a bad idea is laughable. That's where you make a trade to spend on a hitter elsewhere. You trade from strength to get better in other areas. That how you balance things.
This trade proposal reads nothing about spending on a hitter elsewhere. I can only vote & comment on what is posted.
I wouldn't take much stock into that opinion tbh.
You have 4 outfielders for 3 spots and that's not counting Garcia/Refsnyder/Cambell. You can almost gurantee one of those guys get traded. They have holes in the infield and SP2. It wouldn't be devestating to the lineup unless you assume they make zero other moves and roll with Vaughn Grissom and David Hamilton at 3B/2B. Conveibly one could say to trade one of the outfielders for an infielder and go out and sign a pitcher.
This is not a logical opinion at all. Trading Duran for a SP2 is the perfect way to kill two birds with one stone. I really don't understand your opinion on this when I can see them bringing back Bregman & signing Alonso/Schwarber. You're saying Bregman signs elsewhere. Why? What is his market? Detroit? Who offered him a big deal last year and he still turned it down, and now he's a year older coming off the quad injury? The best fit for him is coming back to Boston.
So no other moves? Keeping Duran puts Early in the rotation instead of Greene, and one of Abreu, Rafaela, Anthony or Duran on the bench in place of Eaton. Not seeing anything to fix other issues.
It’s not my trade proposal notin. I simply pointed out what the roster would look like if this trade is made as it is posted. But, keeping Duran does not put one of Abreu, Rafaela, Anthony or Duran on the bench, they rotate through the DH, Yoshida goes to the bench, albeit an expensive one, but makes the offense deep & dangerous.
