I don’t like this trade for the Rays. For one, it helps the Yankees. For another, the Rays aren’t competing in 2026 if they trade Yandy for pitching. Pitching is already a strength and offense is already a weakness, and I think net-net this trade makes the Rays worse in the present with no payoff down the road in minor leaguers (Lalane ain’t a market mover).
