The Mets cover $5.75 MM in 2026. Spence makes league minimum and has minor league options remaining.
💁🏼♀️ McNeil has a $15.750m contract for the ‘26 season and a club option for the ‘27 season at $15.750m or a $2m buy out, plus he gets a Trade Assignment Bonus of $500,000. So $18.250m for 1yr. Plus possibly some salary escalators - WS MVP: $100,000, $50,000 each for LCS MVP, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, All-Star 💰

💁🏼♀️ So, $12.5m for 1yr of McNeil (cost for the Athletics). And you’re ok with it, it surprises me. I see his AFV @ 13.1. You have a better feeling for him in ‘26 then I would. I think he’s about to fall off the cliff, hope I’m wrong because he’s been an athletic & excellent player.
It's a gamble but I'm betting an amount I can afford to lose.
