($30m per with a $10m signing bonus. No deferrals but also he does not get any trade protection)

I suppose the Rays could get by with negative WAR from the SS position for the next 4-5 years (which your plan more or less guarantees), but if the Rays are trading $41MM in value, I hope they do better than 3 years of an arb eligible 1-2 fWAR outfielder and 5 years of a solid mid-rotation SP that the Rays have no problem producing internally. No opinion on Schwarber because that’s just not happening.
