The Pirates were dead last in HRs in 2025 with 117 (next closest was St Louis at 148), and their 2B position produced only 78 wRC+. Acquiring Lowe would improve both those numbers in one move (31 HRs and 114 wRC+ in 2025). The cost is Harrington, who is no longer the top prospect he looked this time last year. Maybe the Rays can get more out of him. Pittsburgh could also make Lowe a 1B or DH because those positions need upgrades too (DH - 13 HRs and 95 wRC+ in 2025; 1B - 19 HRs and 95 wRC+).
