None of this off-season makes any sense at all, and decimating our rotation and replacing BLowe a year before we have to makes me believe there isn't a plan, especially if it involves trading 2 of our 3 best SP (McClan not included until...) and doing it a year before BLowe truly needs replaced. Sorry, but one year of poor defensive metrics doesn't mean he's finished. The Rays had 7 outfielders who were non-needlemovers. A ton of meh, "who cares who starts in AAA and who cares who the opening day lineup in CF" types. We have since added 2 more of those guys. We have 9 outfielders on the 40 man roster, and I don't give a flying fuck about any of them. JLowe keeps losing traits that made him interesting. Simpson's first day in the OF looks the same as his 500th day in the OF. Magnum is 55 years old. I love getting Marte, but fuck I wish they'd have been inclined to pull the trigger when I expected more than 75 wins out of a roster. If the DBs want 2 pitchers, I'd love to get a 3rd team involved, because the only thing we have lots of is underperforming outfielders. Simpson's defense never improved from A+ to MLB, and frankly the greatest base stealing prospect in a decade can't be unsuccessful this often. Turn Baz and 2 OF into Marte, and I kiss Neander on the lips. Trade BLowe and 2/3 of our rotation, I have to wonder what the end game is.
