Why do you keep trying to get more bullpen arms for Cleveland when they really don't need anymore at this moment?
I’m surprised Chourio and Arias have this kind of trade value. Chourio had a bad year and appears to be stagnating in the low minors, while Arias is so far away I would have expected much lower trade value for him. I don’t think the Rays would be interested in this trade.

Chourio had a bad season, so he lost some ranking, but the scouts still like his overall potential and Arias may end up being undervalued still. He's at 6 because he is on the same path and similar rankings in a lot of areas as Chourio... Arias just isn't as strong of a fielder as Chourio is. Chourio still got on at .380 clip, so he still has a strong batters eye and plate recognition.
Take off the rose colored glasses mate. Chourio has bust written all over him. Struggling in the low minors at 20 years old (soon to be 21) and in the 4th year of professional ball is a very bad sign. He may still put it together but it looks to this non-Guardians fan like the scouts are stubbornly sticking to their original opinion of Chourio, despite plenty of evidence to the contrary. That happens all the time.
I feel like you are being way too harsh... He just turned 20 at High A, which means he was one of the younger players at that level and he lost time due to an injury... The speed, defense and batters eye are there... He doesn't have any slugging yet, which is his main problem. He was always slated to repeat high A regardless of how he did so he was going to repeat High A then go to AA in the second half. Let's have this conversation again at mid season since if he still has the same numbers, then yeah he was too high, but if he has .400+ OBP and even a .400 SLG you would be dead wrong. The .400 OBP is honestly something he can do...
Totally agree that anything can happen with prospect development. Development is not linear and injuries can have dramatic effects on both development and performance. But I’m a Rays fan and that means I’ve seen A LOT of no bat defense first prospects stagnate in the low minors and eventually wash out. I’ve learned that high OBP in the low minors can be the mark of a good eye or the mark of someone too indecisive to swing the bat and who lucks into a high OBP because of all the bad pitching in the lower minors. I’ve also seen too many guys struggle to develop because they spend so much time on the shelf with minor injuries. Happy to revisit Chourio in a few months and for both his sake and the Guardians sake, I hope I’m wrong. The warning signs are there though.
