Rays should have no interest trading quality for quantity unless they’ve given up on Williams. I haven’t given up.

I've given up, lol not really on Carson I think its more the system, I don't think they have the ability to help him anymore where as if he's traded he probably stands a better chance to have a legit career, I think TB gets their heads so far up their USB ports they think only one way, if I'm Williams I'm looking for a hitting coach outside of the organization to hire to get to the next step before its too late, I bet that's what Aranda did.

Rays player development sure ain’t what it used to be, not even on the pitching side.

Dark times in the future for Rays fans. An owner sitting with DeSantis at the first home game. The CEO, lil Babby is a nepobaby. Not sure I'm a Rays fan anymore.

I feel your pain. The new ownership group is in deep with DeSantis and I'm no happier about that than you. So we have an ownership group that's hard to like (though they know how to play "the game" far better than Stu ever did), a front office that appears inept at what they used to excel at (judging/valuing talent), and a manager team that can no longer get the best out of its players. I won't lie, I'm worried...

4 of the top 14 pitchers were Rays and got traded with tons of team control for unknown reasons (not Baz, that guy sucks). 2 of the top 18 batters are former Rays. This organization has been bleeding talent for half a decade, and I have zero faith in ownership, management, or development. Players get better when they leave the Rays. And now ownership are kind of fascy. Time to find a new hobby for me. https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders/major-league?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=y&type=8&season=2026&season1=2026&ind=0&month=0
